Most methods have limitations; some methods are great for small orders and others great for bulk orders. Some are good for spot color artwork and some better for photo/graphic multi-color artworks. Direct-to-Garment Printing (DTG)

Direct-to-Garment Printing

The latest in retail printing technology where artwork after being processed by a computer is then printed directly onto the surface of your product. Also known as Digital Printing or DTG Printing.

Direct to Film (DTF)

Direct-to-Film Printing

Direct to film printing involves printing a design onto a special film and pressing the design onto the garment or merchandise.
DTF works on many different garment materials: cotton, nylon, treated leather, polyester, etc.

  • Wide variety of products

Screen Printing

Screen Printing

The standard printing method used in the bulk t-shirt printing industry. Also called silk-screen printing. It involves creating screens and then using those screens to apply layers of ink on the printing surface.

  • Bulk orders
  • Pantone colored artworks
  • Spot color artworks (No Gradients)

Print & Cut

Print and Cut

With this method, the design is printed onto a high quality transfer medium and cut into shape. It is then transferred onto the garment using a heat press.

Recommended for:
  • Full color artworks (especially when printing on color or black garments)
  • Detailed designs

Embroidery

Embroidery

Artworks are first digitized and then embroidered/stitched into the garment using an embroidery machine.

3D Embroidery

3D Embroidery

Foam is inserted under the top stitch to raise the surface, giving a three-dimensional look to your embroidery designs.

  • Garments or Products that don’t require much washing
  • Spot color artworks (No Gradients)

Heat Transfer (Paper)

Heat Transfer Paper

One of the most common methods for retail t-shirt printing where we print the artwork on a piece of paper and then transfer/press it onto the product. It however has an A4 print size limit and cannot be used for more complex artworks on colored t-shirts.

  • Photo prints
  • Artworks that are A4 size or below
  • Best results on light color t-shirts

Heat Transfer (Vinyl)

Heat Transfer Vinyl or Flex

A printing technique where the design is machine cut from a colored foil and then pressed onto the product. Used primarily for spot color artworks, line art or text. Also the standard printing method used for custom names and numbers on the back of jerseys.

  • Spot color artworks (No Gradients)
  • Any size artwork
  • Sports wear and Jerseys
  • Custom Name/Number Combinations
